Meridian North Land Services, LLC does not sell, rent, share or otherwise disclose your personal information, including your phone number, to third parties or affiliates for their marketing, promotional or lead-generation purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Meridian North Land Services, LLC ("Meridian North," "we," "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through meridiannorthland.com (the "Site") and in the course of communicating with you, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit the contact form, email us, call us or text us, we collect the information you choose to give, which may include your name, company, email address, phone number, the service you need and the details of your project.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. We use this information in aggregate to keep the Site secure and to understand how it is used.
Cookies. The Site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Our hosting and web-font providers may set strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies required to deliver the Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and prepare proposals you request;
- Communicate with you about projects, services and scheduling by email, phone or, if you have opted in, SMS text message;
- Operate, secure, maintain and improve the Site;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions; and
- Protect the rights, property and safety of Meridian North, our clients and others.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or lead-generation purposes.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business and the Site:
- Within Meridian North. Inquiries sent to [email protected] are routed to the Meridian North team members responsible for responding to them.
- Service providers. We use third-party providers for website hosting, domain and DNS services, email, document storage, telephone service and, for SMS, message delivery. These providers process information only on our behalf, only to provide their services to us, and under obligations to protect it. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If Meridian North is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not share, sell, rent or trade your personal information, including your phone number, with third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional or lead-generation purposes. The categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. SMS / text messaging and mobile information
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you SMS text messages about your inquiry, proposals, scheduling and project status. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can reply HELP or email [email protected] for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of sharing described in Section 3 exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, other than our SMS delivery provider acting solely on our behalf to send the messages you have agreed to receive. Our full SMS program terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
5. Public records and project data
In the course of our land services we compile ownership, title and mapping information from public county records and from our clients. That project data is handled under the confidentiality terms of each client's services agreement, not under this Policy. Information about landowners obtained from public records is used solely to perform the services our clients engage us for and is not sold or used for marketing.
6. Data retention
We keep contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our relationship and as required by law or our record-keeping obligations. Records of SMS consent and opt-out requests are retained as required by law. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to the Site and access controls on our email and document systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing [email protected]. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. Residents of Texas and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we have collected and to opt out of certain uses. We will honor those requests as required by the applicable law.
9. Children
The Site is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party sites
The Site may link to third-party websites. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Site with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
